[She's wrapped up in the towel when she pushes the curtain back, looking at least marginally better than she had before she went in.
Funnily enough seeing him sitting like that isn't at all a surprise. But she pauses for a moment giving him a little hint of a smile and a mildly helpless look. She might look a little better, but she's still not sure of herself.]
Make you dinner as in I'm the one who makes the call for take out the next time? If so then, you've got yourself a deal.
[ He sits a little straight as she steps out, ready to jump up and rush over if she needs a crutch to lean against. ]
You know how long it takes me to choose. They're all so good. [ Jumping down, now, and landing a little away, he throws an arm around her back and encourages her to the door. ] Someone's got to sort me out.
You do take forever... one of these days we're going to starve to death.
[She appreciates him, she really does.. she should do a better job of being sure he knows that. She's also going to try not to lean to heavily against him, but she can't stop the ripple of goosebumps that raise along the space where his arm touches her shoulder, and his skin touches hers where they're pressed together.]
[ He easily mistakes the reaction to her stepping out from beneath the warm spray of the shower to the cool air beyond, and, really, he should switch the heating on.
But first thing's first, Clint grabs the clothes and continues on, helping her back to his bedroom. ]
[She wouldn't argue with the heater. For now she's content to soak up what she can get from the physical contact.
Thanks for that, she just wants to get back into bed, she forgot all about the clothes. She lets him usher back to the room without complaint or resistance.]
That is exactly what I'm saying. [But there's a smile in there though.] But I wouldn't trade you for anything.
[ He takes up to the edge of the bed, straightens the cover a bit around her and pulls it back. ]
No wonder no one sticks 'round, I gotta start paying you. [ He flashes a grin, puts the pile next to her. ] Need anything else? 'Cause when I'm down, I'm staying down.
[She chuckles softly.] Maybe we'll work out something. [Looks at the clothes and shakes her head.] I think I'm alright hopefully after a little more rest I'll be okay and won't have to bug you too much.
[ Rolling his eyes, he goes around to the other side of the bed and flops down, crossing ankle over the other and resting his hands up behind his head. ] It's not like there's anything else to do today.
[She waits until he's settled before getting slowly removing the towel and to get her clothes on. She dries her hair a bit more before she settles back onto the bed.]
[ The corner of his mouth twists upwards. ] Kinda sure this's it. Everyone who drank themselves silly last night? Are paying for it this morning. For the first time, I'm glad I decided to be a loner.
[She's just going to scoot over closer to him and curl against him now.. she hates that she feels clammy and gross even though she's showered.] I'll keep that in mind.
[She nods, sighing and nuzzling more comfortably.] More sleep, then food... Okay.
[ Not that she can see, curled against his side, but he makes a face at that; he loves her, he does, but he doesn't love her enough to want details. Or to watch her with anyone else. Unless they end up in a body bag. ]
Yeah, awkward doesn't even cover what that would've been. But, hey, I could drop you off and pick you up. It'd be like playing broken families.
Next time. [ He's not asking or questioning, but he is pondering; he's not jealous, if she's going out and enjoying herself then it's none of his business, and if anything he's happy for her. If it weren't for the curse of the hangover, she would be able to take care of herself too. ] Maybe we should create a path through the apartment, make sure there's nothing to stumble over.
Next time... [She hums back quietly, she likes having him take care of her, more than she'd like to admit really. He's been there more than anyone when she's needed to be picked up and set right after one of these damn curses. They've been there for each other.]
That shouldn't be a problem. I don't plan on letting this specific thing happen again.
And here I thought the fun of it was worth a little pain.
[ His smirk is teasing, because, well, before the hangover really set in, she did say she had fun. ] Let's see how you feel when the hangover wears off.
[ Because one of these days, the two of them should go to the Blue Light, which is clearly the best place to go, and have themselves a great night. He's never really been able to let loose properly without someone to watch his back, and he can keep an eye on how much she consumes - everyone's a winner. Besides, at least neither of them are angry drunks, so things could be worse.
He smiles down at her, appearing vulnerable and innocent, and in many ways she is. Sometimes even he forgets that underneath it all, she's just a girl who never quite had the chance to grow up. ] But for now? You're going to sleep so I can get some reading done while it's quiet.
[She laughs soft and quiet, as she shifts to bury her face against his neck.
They should go to the Blue Light, just them. They'll have a great time, and she can keep an eye on how much he drinks, because she watches his back, that's what they do right? Besides, typically her consumption doesn't matter.
But, she wouldn't mind having him look out for her.]
[ It's why they work so well, knowing their situations (more or less, because, well, everyone has their secrets, especially people who live and breathe them), and why he knows he can trust her to watch his the way he always intends to watch hers. No matter what.
