I don't think I can look at sprinkles again. [ But there's something fond in his expression as he takes a sip of beer. ] It was fun though.

Yeah. [ That makes his expression go softer. ]

That's what I've said about alcohol. But you always end up back there. [ The grin lingers, and he tries not to let the affection filter through, but he's not sure he's doing a good job of it. ] Fun's one word for it. Remind me never to breed.

[ Clapping him on the back. ] You got lucky with a buddy like him.

[ Of course he knows that. There isn't anyone who knows it more than Bucky does. Steve is his entire life, but there are some things you just can't say. ]

[ He gives him a knowing smile and leaves it at that. ]

I need t'hear more about this Loki character. [ He keeps his voice careful, calm, business like. ]

Because as much as Steve tells me, he's not going to give me the gory details. He's trying to protect me, the dumbass.

[ Clint tenses up at the mere mention of Loki, but he tries to cover it, quick to react and force himself not to let it show. ]

What has he told you?

Loki - bad. [ Shrugging. ] Y'gotta remember he still sees the kids we used t'be. He's not gonna share.

So you're asking me. [ He doesn't mind so much, he'll tell it like it is, but Steve probably has his reasons to keep things back and he's wary of that to an extent. ]

I'm not sure whether or not his origin is important, but he's from Asgard, adopted brother to Thor, or at least he was until he turned on them and got himself killed. Except that he didn't. [ He's speaking as though he's picking information from a file and spurting it back, no real emotion there, voice hard and revealing little. ] SHIELD were experimenting on the cube, apparently using it to create weapons to defend the earth from future attacks, until the thing opened up a doorway and dragged him in. He...turned several agents and took the cube in order to bring forth an army. [ He shrugs. ] He made a mess, but we kicked his ass.

[ He figures out that Clint would've been one of those agents pretty quickly. If his shirt hadn't read it right out, then he would've guessed just from the way his voice shifts. There's a blankness that only comes when you're hiding something.

He knows. He sounds like that when he talks about HYDRA. ] So he's some kind of alien?

In the sense that he's not from around these parts? [ He shrugs, still struggling with the topic, but not letting it get in the way all the same. ] Sure. But don't go ruining my little grey man fantasy, Barnes, it's been with me too long. [ He's a closest geek, sue him.

But more seriously. ] He's kinda like a god. Didn't really stop to ask, I was too busy trying to kill the bastard.

So like Thor, huh?

The short version would've gone something like that. But where Thor wouldn't harm a fly unless it pissed him off enough, Loki seeks out trouble. Whatever you're thinking, don't strike out on this guy alone.
